Records Management Listserv
When you hear records managers discussing "the listserv," this is the one they are talking about (well, unless they're in the legal field). And while many ARMA members are on the list, it is not sponsored by ARMA in any way.
The Records Management Listserv is an open forum, e-mail message board dedicated to sharing information on a variety of records management topics. It is a high-volume list — subscribers usually get 20 or more messages a day. An option is available to receive a digest version for those who can't or don't want to receive that volume of e-mail coming to their inboxes.
To subscribe, send an e-mail to listserv@lists.ufl.edu with only the following command in the message body (not in the subject line):
sub RECMGMT-L <your name>
You will receive a confirmation and other instructions to complete your subscription.
To assist in using automated rules for managing Listserv messages, [RM] is automatically added to the subject line of each message. If you subscribe and the [RM] is not in the subject, change your "Header Style" command for your listserv subscription to "Subject".
- send an email with a blank/empty subject line to
